Even though all major news corporations are trying to hide it, Florida is now reporting the lowest amount of COVID-19 cases per capita in the nation.

Breitbart reports that as of Monday, the state was reporting the lowest case rate in the U.S., standing at seven per 100,000, with a daily average of COVID-19 cases at 1,437, a drop of two percent over the last two weeks.

States run by Democrats that have locked down for extended periods have difficulty with higher case rates than Florida’s. For instance, led by Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan reports a daily average of 8,780 daily cases. This translates into 88 cases per capita and a 78 percent increase over the last two weeks. Last week, the state’s health leaders prompted everyone two years and older to wear a mask, even if they have already been immunized.

Pennsylvania, led by Democratic Governor Tom Wolf, was locked down for months and is now seeing a high daily average of 5,903 cases, translating into 46 per 100,000 and a 43% increase over the last two weeks.

Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis stated this fact Thursday, at a press conference where he signed legislation fighting vaccine mandates, saying that “they don’t want to tell you this, but Florida for like almost a month has been either the lowest or one of the lowest COVID in the entire country. You see it surging in other parts. The corporate media, don’t like it when it surges in other parts. They only like it when it surges in places that they don’t like.”

The Florida Department of Health reported 10,828 new coronavirus cases this week among Florida residents bringing the total to 3,677,968. With 384 more fatalities on record, 61,081 Florida residents have died.

This week’s 384 deaths indicate an increase from the 363 reported last week, but deaths can take several days or weeks to be reported. The majority of the newly reported deaths are people who died before this week.
