A charged Capitol Hill rioter was captured after drunkenly driving his boat while out on a booze cruise in Florida on Saturday night, according to law enforcement.

Paul Rae, a 38-year old self-identified member of the “Proud Boys” who is on federal control release for his role in the Jan.6 Capitol Hill riots, was supposedly under the influence when witnesses reported seeing him run his boat into a small island at high speed around 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies from the county’s Marine Unit and DUI unit responded, where they found the boat 75 feet from the water. Rae and a passenger were also found uninjured but “showing signs of impairment,” police said.

Police put Rae through sobriety tests before he was taken to the Pinellas County Jail where he was booked for one count of boating under the influence. Rae was freed from jail on his own recognizance shortly after 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Rae has been out on supervised release after he was charged with knowingly entering and staying in a forbidden building or grounds and corruptly obstructing official proceedings in March, according to local outlets.

According to the federal complaint filed in March, Rae was among the first group of radicals to breach into the Capitol on Jan. 6. Prosecutors say he came through the Capitol door (along with leading Proud Boy organizer Joe Biggs, who is facing conspiracy charges), less than a minute after New York Proud Boy Dominic Pezzola destroyed an adjacent window and let rioters through. Surveillance footage from inside the Capitol showed Rae and Biggs directly communicating once they entered the building. He also posed for selfies with Biggs earlier in the day, according to court documents, which note that he identified himself as a Proud Boy.

Rae was scheduled into the Pinellas County Jail on one count of “boating under influence.” Penalties for a so-called “BUI” in Florida differ anywhere between a fine of $500, six months in jail, and five years in prison, according to how drunk the defendant was, whether it was their first conviction, and whether anyone was injured in the process.

The Justice Department declined to comment on whether Rae’s arrest could impact his release status. Rae’s lawyers did not respond to VICE News’ request for comment.

Rae was put under supervised federal freedom after his arrest. A U.S. magistrate judge ordered that he be confined to his home and only allowed to leave for work, religious services, medical appointments or necessary travel. He was also ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device and to surrender his firearms.
