In the ongoing trial of ex-President Donald Trump, a key witness, Keith Davidson, expressed his concern over the mental state of Michael Cohen, Trump's former attorney.

Davidson, who previously represented Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels, recalled a conversation with Cohen in December 2016, during which Cohen voiced his disappointment over not securing a position in Trump's administration.

Davidson stated, "I thought he was going to kill himself," indicating his worry for Cohen's wellbeing following the call. He described Cohen as "depressed and despondent" during the conversation.

Cohen's frustration was evident in his words, as Davidson recalled, "‘Jesus Christ, can you fucking believe I’m not going to Washington, after everything I have done for that fucking guy, I can’t believe I’m not going to Washington,'” and "‘I’ve saved that guy’s ass so many times, you don’t even know.’”

David Pecker, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, also testified in the trial, casting doubt on Cohen's credibility. Pecker concurred with the notion that Cohen, who served as Trump's personal attorney, was "prone to exaggeration."

The charges against Trump have been brought forward by Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The former President is accused of concealing a hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels to suppress information about an alleged affair.
