In a recent interview, Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump, issued a stark warning about the potential implications of the Supreme Court dismissing the concept of presidential immunity.

He suggested that such a decision could pave the way for a series of prosecutions against President Joe Biden, particularly in relation to the cocaine incident that occurred in the White House last summer.

Eric Trump, 40, expressed his concerns during an appearance on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures." He speculated that if his father's plea for absolute immunity is rejected, it could trigger a wave of legal actions against other presidents. "They'll probably go after Joe Biden for having cocaine in the White House. They'll go after Biden for raiding his opponent's home," he predicted.

He further suggested that President Biden could face legal scrutiny for his decision to deplete the national petroleum reserves shortly before the 2022 primaries in an attempt to lower gas prices.

The cocaine incident Eric Trump referred to occurred in July when Secret Service agents discovered a small bag containing less than a gram of cocaine in a vestibule near the Situation Room, a floor below the Oval Office. The investigation concluded after 11 days without identifying a suspect.

The Supreme Court recently heard a landmark case in which former President Donald Trump, 77, argued that presidents should be granted absolute immunity for their official actions. This claim was met with skepticism by the conservative-led high court, which also expressed concerns about the possibility of presidents having no immunity at all.

By challenging the concept of presidential immunity, the elder Trump has managed to postpone the trial for his 2020 election subversion charges, which was originally scheduled to start on March 4.

Echoing his father's legal team, Eric Trump warned that without immunity, former presidents could become targets for overzealous prosecutors. "The only people who are going to benefit are big law firms in Washington, DC, because they are going to go after every single president. They will start with Obama, Fast and Furious, right, where he gives 2,000 weapons to cartel members," he stated.

He also questioned whether former President George Bush could be prosecuted for allegedly lying about weapons of mass destruction.

Donald Trump is the first sitting or former US president to face criminal charges, with 88 counts across four indictments. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Eric Trump concluded his interview with a dire prediction: "The floodgates are going to open, and I guarantee you, Joe Biden will not have one foot outside of the White House doors before they start going after him legally, ruthlessly."

While Eric Trump did not specify who might target President Biden, his father has previously promised to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the first family. This pledge mirrors a similar one he made about Hillary Clinton, which he did not follow through on during his presidency.

President Biden, for his part, has carefully avoided any actions or comments that could be interpreted as interference in his predecessor's legal troubles.

The Supreme Court is expected to make a decision on the issue of presidential immunity by July. Depending on the outcome, the case could be sent back to the lower courts to clarify certain aspects, such as the distinction between private and official actions.
