In a shocking incident, Noa Cochva, the reigning Miss Israel, was assaulted during a pro-Hamas demonstration in New York's Times Square.

Cochva, who has been actively serving as a combat medic in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, was struck in the face with a protest placard during the rally on March 30, as revealed in a video.

Cochva, 25, had been in New York for several weeks, advocating for Israel and participating in speaking engagements. She was present in Times Square on the day of the incident, along with other Israel advocates who had come to stage their own demonstration.

"We just saw a huge pro-Palestinian rally, and we wanted to go and do our own thing... And then they recognized us when they saw our flag and they threw down our flag... and they came down and one of the guys hit me," Cochva recounted. "I had a black eye, I have never had a black eye before."

Following the assault, Cochva, who serves as a combat medic in Israel, received treatment in an ambulance. She expressed disappointment in the police's response to the incident, stating, "I feel like if you're a police officer, and you see a woman get hit in the face, you should probably find the guy because that's your job."

Initially, Cochva decided to let the issue slide, but later chose to press charges on April 10. The New York Police Department (NYPD), after initially claiming no report was on file, confirmed the details of the incident to The Post. However, they added that there had been no arrests and the investigation was still "ongoing."

Cochva, who represented Israel in the 2021 Miss Universe pageant held in Eilat, Israel, has been serving on the front lines near Gaza, treating wounded soldiers when she's not fulfilling her duties as a beauty queen.

Before the massacre of Israeli civilians on October 7, Cochva, who was trained as a medic during her mandatory military service at 18, had been studying to become a pastry chef. She claims to have treated dozens of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers since the war began.

"When you're talking with soldiers... there's stages that you have to go through to help them to come back to life because their mind is still in Gaza," she said. Cochva has also provided medical treatment to Hamas terrorists, stating, "As a combat medic, you take an oath to swear to save every person's life, no matter if he's an enemy or a loved one."

Despite the grim circumstances, her service has had its lighter moments, such as when wounded soldiers, under the influence of painkillers, realize they are being treated by a beauty queen. "We have a lot of funny comments," Cochva said, recalling one soldier's reaction: "Did I die and go to heaven? Because you're an angel."

Cochva also urged Americans not to be swayed by Hamas propaganda often disseminated through sympathetic American media outlets. "There's so many things that I'm hearing about people saying there wasn't any rape… people saying there is no proof," Cochva said. "I don't understand how in 2024 after the 'MeToo' movement that people can actually say that they don't believe women."
