Barr stated, "The real threat to liberty, the real threat to our system of liberty are the excesses of the progressive left. They’re perverting the system of justice and that’s where the danger lies. The corruption and subversion of our institutions by the left… I said all along, given two bad choices I think it’s my duty to pick the person who I think will do the least harm to the country. In my mind, I will vote the Republican ticket. However, critics argue that Barr's support for Trump overlooks his own role in the controversial 2020 election. As Attorney General, Barr, along with FBI Director Chris Wray, allegedly played a part in securing Joe Biden's victory. They are accused of being complicit in the alleged fraud that occurred during the 2020 election, particularly in relation to the massive ballot registration fraud by GBI Strategies, a Democrat-funded operation, in Michigan and other battleground states.

In August 2023, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel confirmed that between 8,000 to 10,000 suspected fraudulent ballot registrations were delivered to the Muskegon, Michigan, City Clerk prior to the 2020 election. This information was initially reported by The Gateway Pundit, a conservative news and opinion website, and was based on a redacted police report. The report described how Muskegon City Clerk Meisch encountered a woman dropping off a large number of completed voter registration applications, which raised suspicions due to the city's voting population of around 30,000 individuals.

The investigation revealed that the woman who turned in the fraudulent ballot registrations worked for GBI Strategies, a group funded by the super PAC 'BlackPAC,' which paid them over $11 million to register voters for Joe Biden. The police found guns, burner phones, pre-paid cash cards, and incomplete registrations at a defunct eyeglass store where GBI Strategies had set up operations in the state. Despite these findings, no arrests were made in relation to this multi-state ballot registration fraud.

In addition to the alleged fraud in Michigan, there were also reports of voter fraud in Detroit. The #DetroitLeaks reports revealed that Detroit poll workers were trained in how to lie, handle ballot challenges from Trump supporters, call 911 on any challengers, and use COVID as an excuse to deny poll challengers access to view the ballots as they were being counted and tabulated. These reports were banned from YouTube, Twitter, and other social media platforms due to their explosive nature. Multiple independent witnesses confirmed that the predictions from #DetroitLeaks were accurate.

Despite these allegations, Barr and Wray did not investigate these planned and coordinated voter fraud training sessions. Critics argue that their inaction may have allowed similar actions to occur in other states.
On election night in November 2020, President Trump was leading Joe Biden in the battleground states. However, in an unprecedented move, news broke that the battleground states were going to stop counting votes for the night. This had never occurred in US history. President Trump addressed his supporters, stating, "This is a fraud. This is an embarrassment to our country."

Four days later, even Pennsylvania, where Republican observers were prevented from entering the counting rooms, had gone to Joe Biden. Trump was ahead in the state by nearly 800,000 votes on Election night. Critics argue that this was a clear case of election fraud, and the mainstream media immediately began promoting the idea that Joe Biden, who had a lackluster campaign season, had captured 81 million votes.
Despite these allegations, neither Barr nor Wray investigated this criminal act. Critics argue that their inaction played a significant role in the controversial outcome of the 2020 election.
In 2019, the FBI knew that Hunter Biden’s laptop, which contained potentially damaging information, was authentic. However, they allegedly lied to social media companies so the story would be censored during the 2020 election to help Joe Biden. The House Ways and Means Committee reported in 2023 that the FBI verified the authenticity of Hunter’s laptop in November of 2019 by matching the device number against Hunter Biden’s Apple iCloud ID. According to testimony from Laura Dehmlow, the Section Chief of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF), the FBI deliberately lied to social media companies about the authenticity of Hunter’s laptop to protect Joe Biden.
