Ana Navarro, a co-host on The View, expressed her disappointment and disgust at New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu's endorsement of Donald Trump for President.

Sununu, who had previously been a guest on the show in May 2023, had led the panel to believe that he did not consider Trump to be the likely Republican nominee for 2024.

Sununu's endorsement came during an appearance on ABC's This Week on April 14, where he acknowledged Trump's role in the January 6 insurrection but justified his support for Trump as being in the interest of his party, according to The Hill.

Navarro voiced her dismay at Sununu's change of stance during a discussion on The View. "He's trying to preserve his political options in the future," she stated. Navarro expressed her sadness over the impact of Trump's influence on young Republicans whom she had once seen as promising, including Marco Rubio and Tim Scott.

"Donald Trump must have a huge pantry in Mar-a-Lago where he holds all their spines and other body parts in big jars of formaldehyde, because he's turned all these people into these sniveling cowards, two-faced charlatan clowns," Navarro declared. "I mean, I'm embarrassed for them."

Sunny Hostin, another co-host on The View, suggested that perhaps this was the true nature of these politicians all along. She recalled a previous conversation with Sununu about his support for Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections, despite Trump being "the antithesis" of everything Sununu stands for.

"You know what he said? 'Well, he's not going to be the nominee,'" Hostin recounted. "So I'm not surprised that he did this. He is every bit of a politician, and he should be ashamed of himself."
