Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez, a 46-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, is currently facing murder charges in Ohio, following the discovery of a man's body.

Garcia-Gutierrez, who has been deported at least eight times and arrested nearly a dozen times, is being held at the Butler County Jail on charges including aggravated murder, use of weapons while intoxicated, concealed weapon possession, drug possession, and obstruction of official business, as reported by Fox 19.

The victim's body was discovered in the 1100 block of S. 13th Street in Hamilton, a city located north of Cincinnati, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, following a 911 call.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones revealed during a Wednesday press conference that Garcia-Gutierrez's criminal history dates back to 2001. The accused has reportedly used seven different names and three different birthdates over the years. He has been charged with over 20 crimes and is also a known gang member, according to Jones.

Jones also disclosed that Garcia-Gutierrez is currently being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer. "That person would be alive today, and if you don’t think that it’s affecting you in Butler County, Ohio, we’re all border states; we’re all border counties. It’s here, and we could go on and on," Jones stated.

The Sheriff further questioned the extent of Garcia-Gutierrez's criminal activities, stating, "Who knows how many people this guy has been involved in and has killed? Here in the United States, in our jail, he's had two or three weapons charges, he's had domestic violence [charges]… driving while intoxicated. We don't know how many he's killed in Mexico."

"Our border is broken, and these individuals are the cause of it," Jones said, pointing to photographs of President Biden, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. "He actually doesn’t run Mexico, it’s the drug cartel," Jones added. "We’ve got to stop this border invasion, it’s killing us and its killing innocent people."
