In an unexpected turn of events, Bill Maher, the renowned television host, delivered a powerful monologue on Friday, criticizing the advice given by health experts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He argued that the guidance was not only unscientific but also led to unnecessary deaths and widespread devastation.

Maher highlighted that the authorities responsible for enforcing the stringent COVID-19 measures have not yet issued any retractions or apologies. He also acknowledged the censorship faced by The Gateway Pundit, a conservative news website, for challenging the mainstream narrative during the pandemic. Despite sourcing information from insiders in China, the website was frequently blacklisted by tech giants and government officials.

Maher's monologue, aired on Good Friday, was shared by Vigilant Fox. He stated, "I get it that we didn’t know exactly what was happening at the beginning of COVID, and some mistakes were inevitable. But four years on, I’m tired of hearing, 'Well, we didn’t know.' No, we didn’t. But some people guessed better than others. The people who got it wrong don’t seem to want to acknowledge that now."

He further pointed out that some critics correctly predicted that prolonged school closures would have severe collateral damage on children. He also referred to a headline from The Daily Beast four years ago that labeled his endorsement of the Wuhan lab leak theory as a conspiracy. Maher noted that the theory is now widely accepted, with even the Biden administration conceding that the virus could have originated from the Wuhan lab conducting gain-of-function research.

Maher criticized the overreaction to the pandemic, citing examples such as washing mail, playing baseball in front of cardboard cutouts, and dining in parking lots. He also mocked the extreme measures taken, such as wrapping oneself in plastic wrap and the frequent nasal swab tests.

He further criticized the advice to stay indoors, avoid fresh air and sunlight, and continue day drinking. He also questioned the insistence on vaccination even for those who had recovered from the disease, arguing that natural immunity was being undervalued.

Maher concluded by stating that many of the ideas initially embraced have not aged well, and many suppressed dissenting opinions have proven to be correct. He questioned the absence of a COVID commission, given the country's history of forming commissions to investigate significant events.

He suggested that the primary lesson from the pandemic was the importance of proper air ventilation, followed by the need to avoid Zoom calls with Jeffrey Tubin. He expressed concern that gain-of-function research continues in labs and that animals are still being raised in conditions that facilitate the transmission of viruses to humans.

Maher also criticized the distribution of $4 trillion in free money, $280 billion of which was reportedly stolen, leading to an inflationary spiral now blamed on President Biden. He ended his monologue by questioning the logic of bringing back former President Trump, who he accused of ignoring COVID-19.
