Kennedy recently revealed that Nicole Shanahan, a tech attorney and entrepreneur, would be his running mate. He praised Shanahan as a daughter of immigrants who had surmounted significant challenges to realize the American dream.

Scott, however, labeled Shanahan, the former spouse of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, as a "liberal," due to her belief that America can only improve through change. The senator from South Carolina criticized Shanahan's support for wealth redistribution, asserting, "I'm living, breathing testament to the fact that if you work hard, you get lucky."

Scott, who had previously suspended his own bid for the Republican presidential primary in November and subsequently endorsed Trump in January, is currently being considered as a potential vice presidential candidate for Trump.
He suggested that Kennedy's selection of Shanahan as his running mate has left Democrats scrambling and launching ad campaigns in an effort to retain the loyalty of Black voters in Detroit.

Following Kennedy's announcement, former President Trump lauded the independent candidate's campaign as "great for MAGA." He branded Kennedy as the "most Radical Left Candidate" and predicted that he would siphon votes from his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden.

A recent poll conducted by Quinnipiac University indicates a narrow lead for Biden over Trump. However, the survey also revealed that the introduction of a third-party candidate into the national polling equation benefits Trump.
The poll showed Biden with 48 percent support and Trump with 45 percent. However, when an independent or third-party candidate is factored in, Trump edges out Biden with 39 percent to Biden's 38 percent.
