In a recent interview with CNN, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis expressed her determination to continue her case against former President Donald Trump, despite the controversy surrounding her relationship with attorney Nathan Wade.

Willis, who is not ashamed of her relationship with Wade, emphasized that she has not committed any illegal acts.

The relationship between Willis and Wade came to light in January, sparking questions about the timeline of their romance, as Willis had appointed Wade as a special prosecutor in Trump's case. Willis defended her actions, stating, "I'm not embarrassed by anything I've done. I guess my greatest crime is [that] I had a relationship with a man, but that's not something that I find embarrassing in any way. And I know I have not done anything that's illegal."

Willis also addressed allegations that she approved funds for vacations with Wade. She dismissed these claims, stating that her team has been working diligently on the case against Trump. "All while that was going on, we were writing responsive briefs. We were still doing the case in the way that it needed to be done. I don't feel like we've been slowed down at all. I do think that there are efforts to slow down this train, but the train is coming," Willis said.

Following the hearing about Willis' relationship with Wade, Judge Scott McAfee gave prosecutors a choice: Willis and her team could step down from the Trump case, or Wade could withdraw. On March 15, Wade chose to resign from the case, citing the "interest of democracy, in dedication to the American public" and a desire to move Trump's case forward "as quickly as possible."

Despite the controversy, Willis remains steadfast in her pursuit of the case against Trump. As the case progresses, Willis' resolve will undoubtedly continue to be tested, but she appears ready to face any challenges that may arise.
