In a recent visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico, Vice President Kamala Harris found herself unwittingly applauding a Spanish protest song that criticized her and the Biden administration's foreign policies.

The incident, captured on video, showed Harris clapping and smiling as the group performed, only to abruptly halt and adopt a more solemn demeanor after an aide presumably translated the lyrics for her.

The protest anthem questioned, "We want to know, Kamala, what did you come to do? We want to know, Kamala, what is going to happen?" This incident is the latest in a series of missteps that have contributed to a decline in the Democrat's approval ratings during a critical presidential election year.

Harris was accompanied on her trip by Executive Director Mariana Reyes, who is believed to have informed her of the song's true meaning. The lyrics criticized not only the Vice President but also the Biden administration and its policies. The performers expressed support for the Palestinian people amid the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza and for Haiti, where gang violence threatens to destabilize the government. "Long live free Palestine and Haiti too," they sang, according to a translation by DailyMail.com.

During her visit, Harris met with community leaders at the Coyco Community Center in San Juan. Her trip aimed to highlight the Biden administration's efforts to support Puerto Rico's recovery and renewal. However, her visit was met with protests against her and President Joe Biden's policies regarding foreign conflicts in Haiti and Israel. Demonstrators burned American flags and displayed provocative posters, one of which read, "Kamala Harris War Criminal."

Harris has been known for her "word salads," where she repeats phrases and talks in circles until the words lose their meaning. For instance, she has repeatedly emphasized that "community banks are in the community" and that investing in them is beneficial for the community.

In addition to verbal missteps, Harris faced criticism for her visit to the site of a school shooting, which some parents of victims perceived as exploiting their trauma for a photo opportunity. Ryan Petty, whose 14-year-old daughter was killed in the 2018 Parkland School shooting in Florida, called her visit a "slap in the face" to the families affected by the tragedy.

These incidents have contributed to a significant drop in Harris' popularity. An NBC poll conducted in January revealed that 53 percent of voters view her negatively, while only 28 percent view her positively. A DailyMail.com poll last year found Harris to be the least popular Vice President in decades. When asked to describe the Vice President in one word, respondents overwhelmingly chose "incompetent" over more complimentary terms such as "smart" and "strong."
