Jeremy Boreing, co-founder and CEO of The Daily Wire, announced on Friday, "Daily Wire and Candace Owens have ended their relationship." Owens, 34, responded to the news, stating, "The rumors are true - I am finally free." She also directed her followers to her personal website for continued support and hinted at "many announcements in the weeks to come."
The split comes in the wake of a series of scandals involving Owens, who recently initiated a campaign alleging that French first lady Brigitte Macron is transgender. Owens has also been embroiled in heated online exchanges with several members of the Jewish community, whom she accuses of targeting her due to her Christian faith.

Owens gained her show on the right-wing platform in 2021, following her rise to national prominence with her unique brand of conservatism, which critics have labeled as far-right nationalism.
On Friday morning, Owens responded to a statement from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) labeling her an anti-Semite. She posted on social media, "I am grateful they have turned their smear merchant guns on me. The world already knows my heart. Their attacks will have the opposite desired effect. Awaken world. Thank you, @adl."

She continued, "My crime, is that I do not believe that American taxpayers should have to pay for Israel’s wars or the wars of any other country. I will not change my mind. So the question is what will you do to me next? The world is watching."

The ADL's statement came in response to white supremacist Nick Fuentes praising some of Owens' comments. The ADL stated, "When bigoted people come together to push an anti-Semitic agenda, it adds fuel to the fire of hate."
Earlier this month, Owens faced backlash after she staked her career on the unfounded theory that French first lady Macron was born a man. She sparked an online uproar after sharing the false story on her Daily Wire show, suggesting that Macron, 70, was born Jean-Michel Trogneux and transitioned at age 30.

Owens has also been engaged in an online feud with popular Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, whom she has labeled as 'satanic.' Boteach has consistently countered Owens over her anti-Semitic allegations of 'sinister' Jewish 'rings' controlling Hollywood and Washington DC.
Despite previous calls for her dismissal, The Daily Wire had defended Owens, asserting that she was exercising free speech and had not violated the law or the terms of her contract.
