Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has requested $368,000 to fund the "Built by Us" podcast, which currently has a modest following of 101 subscribers on its YouTube channel.
The earmark for this project is listed in the addendum for financial services and general government appropriations, with the funds directed to ASSETS, a non-profit organization based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. ASSETS is dedicated to transforming communities through business, boasting a diverse team of innovators experienced in entrepreneurship, social change, and economic development.
A press release from Fetterman's office provides further insight into the earmarked funds. The project description for "Built by Us" indicates that the podcast is designed to "support women- and minority-owned small businesses through technical assistance and incubator-type services."
