Conservative activist Martin Sellner, known for his involvement with Génération Identitaire, faced obstruction while attempting to deliver a speech in Switzerland highlighting the risks associated with European countries accepting migrants.

Sellner revealed to X that he had been invited by a local organization, Junge Tat (Young Deed), to discuss "remigration and the ethnic vote," drawing from a recent gathering in Germany.

Sellner recounted speaking briefly before the power was cut off, leading to his apprehension and subsequent transfer to a police facility. He recounted being expelled from Aargau canton and escorted to Zurich.

In a statement, regional law enforcement detailed their intervention at the Junge Tat assembly in Tegerfelden following multiple reports. Upon discovering around 100 attendees, authorities noted the termination of the venue contract by the landlady upon learning of the meeting's agenda.

Despite directives to conclude the event, organizers persisted. While not explicitly naming Sellner, officials justified his removal from the canton as a measure "to safeguard public security" and prevent potential clashes.

Sellner's past encounters with authorities include a 2018 incident in England, where he was detained by airport police for nearly three days en route to a speech at Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park. Authorities cited concerns of "community tension and potential incitement of hatred."
