The Republican National Committee (RNC), led by newly appointed chair Lara Trump, revealed plans on Friday to collaborate with Scott Presler in a concerted effort to boost voter turnout leading up to the U.S. 2024 Presidential Election in November.

In an announcement by Lara Trump, co-chair of the RNC, it was disclosed that Scott Presler, a prominent conservative activist renowned for registering numerous conservative voters and conducting voter registration workshops nationwide, will spearhead the RNC's legal ballot-chasing initiatives. This strategy, akin to ballot harvesting, a tactic employed by the Democratic National Committee, is perceived by Republicans as providing a competitive edge to their adversaries in elections nationwide. Lara Trump emphasized the shift in approach, stating, "It's now game on."

During an interview with Benny Johnson, host of the Benny Johnson Show, Lara Trump commended Presler, expressing the RNC's intention to enlist him for the newly established ballot harvesting division. Trump remarked, "We also have to start thinking about things like legal ballot harvesting, something we've never embraced as a party. We're going to start doing it now. I'm going to have a call very soon with Scott Presler, who is an amazing vote registerer. He has registered so many people in this country." Trump further praised Presler, stating, "I think he's fantastic. I want him on our legal ballot harvesting division."

Lara Trump outlined the RNC's election strategy aimed at securing a victory for Donald J. Trump, the GOP's presidential nominee, over the incumbent Democrat President Joe Biden in November. This strategy encompasses initiatives such as promoting early voting, establishing an election integrity division, providing poll worker training, and retaining legal counsel.

Recently, the RNC unanimously elected Lara Trump as its new co-chair, alongside Michael Whatley as the committee's new chairman. Additionally, Chris LaCivita, a key advisor to the Trump campaign, was appointed as the director of operations by the RNC.
