The hosts of the popular talk show "The View" have lauded President Biden for his recent State of the Union address.

Ana Navarro, a self-identified Republican and co-host of the show, even led the audience in a chant of "four more years!" This enthusiastic endorsement came despite criticism from Congressional Republicans, who described Biden's performance as "angry."

Navarro, a fervent supporter of Biden, countered this criticism by asserting that the President's demeanor demonstrated his fitness for office and his ability to lead. "As you all know, I have been saying for months and months and months that Joe Biden is old. Yes, he’s slower of step, yes, but he is far from being incoherent, from having dementia, from not being in charge. Yesterday, he showed he is engaged. He was impassioned. He was pissed off. Scranton Joe showed up and fought. He had his gloves on from moment one," Navarro stated.

She further praised Biden's comments on border issues and his criticism of former President Trump, describing these as some of the "strongest moments" of his address. "All I can tell you is that by the time this thing ended, I was in my hotel room like all of those Democrats were there going, ‘Four more years! Four more years! Four more years!’" Navarro recounted, mimicking the chant she led in the audience.

Co-host Joy Behar briefly joined in the chant before cutting Navarro off, simply saying, "Alrighty."

Navarro, despite identifying as a Republican, is known for her liberal views on most major issues and her staunch support for the Biden administration. Her co-hosts on "The View" also expressed their admiration for the President's performance.

Sara Haines, another co-host, found Biden's message inspiring and unifying, praising his tone. Sunny Hostin, also a co-host, appreciated Biden's mention of the January 6 Capitol riot, stating that she would bring it up "every single day" if she were running for president. "I also noticed he said ‘future’ twenty times. This is a forward-looking president. He may be 81, but he's looking toward the future," Hostin added.

Behar criticized Congressional Republicans for their lack of response to several of Biden's agenda items during the address, including securing the border, raising taxes on billionaires to lower the national debt, supporting IVF, raising teachers' salaries, halving drug prices, ending cancer, and rebuilding poisonous lead pipes. "Are they pro-brain damage for children?" she asked sarcastically.

Other liberal-leaning journalists and media personalities also praised President Biden's State of the Union speech. Some even suggested that the speech made those who had expressed concerns about his age look foolish. Former CNN journalist John Harwood mocked these critics, writing, "[T]hose Dems complaining that Biden lacks vigor and fight getting splash of cold water in the face right now," and adding that "people yapping for so long about Biden not being up to the job look pretty dumb this morning."
