In the ongoing legal saga involving Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, a new development has emerged.

Terrence Bradley, a key witness in the case, has been accused of lying about his knowledge of the relationship between Willis and Wade by Cindi Lee Yeager, a co-chief deputy district attorney for Cobb County. Despite the escalating controversy, there has yet to be a decision on Willis' disqualification.

Jonathan Turley, a renowned legal scholar, expressed his bewilderment on "America's Newsroom" on Tuesday. He questioned why Willis and Wade have not voluntarily "stepped aside" as their legal predicament continues to deteriorate "by the day."

Turley stated, "It was painful to watch. It had that look of a hostage tape, where he was just saying, 'I know nothing, I heard nothing. If I said anything, I didn't mean it.' The problem is that this is getting worse by the day." He further elaborated on the recent filing by another attorney, an officer of the court, who claimed to have heard the opposite of what was being presented to the court.

Turley continued, "What is very clear is that the continuation of Wade and Willis is undermining their case, undermining their office, and they have put their interests before that of the public. I am quite astonished that they have not stepped aside. They have an independent professional obligation towards their office, obviously to the people of the county. I don't believe that they are shouldering that responsibility regardless of what the court is doing or will do."

Terrence Bradley, a former law firm partner and divorce attorney, testified under oath last week about his knowledge of the personal relationship between Fulton County, Ga. District Attorney Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade. His testimony came after Judge Scott McAfee ruled that Bradley could not claim attorney-client privilege.

Under oath, Bradley claimed he could not remember several details and timelines about conversations he had with his former client, Wade, regarding Wade's romantic relationship with Willis.

In the wake of Bradley's testimony, a prosecutor from Cobb County, Ga. has challenged his statements and filed a notice of proposed testimony. Cindi Lee Yeager, the co-chief deputy district attorney, has made several allegations, including that Bradley lied about his knowledge of Willis and Wade's relationship. She also claimed to have overheard a phone call in September 2023 between Willis and Bradley, during which Willis allegedly warned the attorney, "they are coming after us."

As the disqualification hearing remains unresolved, the robustness and legitimacy of the extensive racketeering case against former President Trump in Georgia continue to be uncertain.
