The Biden administration's border policies have been a subject of intense scrutiny, with critics arguing that they have led to a significant increase in illegal immigration.

Recently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk highlighted a lesser-known aspect of these policies, alleging that the administration is not only allowing illegal immigrants to enter the country but is also actively transporting them from their home countries.

According to a report, the Biden administration flew in approximately 320,000 individuals from various countries in 2023. Musk expressed grave concerns about this policy, suggesting that the lack of proper vetting could potentially lead to a national security threat greater than the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"This administration is both importing voters and creating a national security threat from unvetted illegal immigrants. It is highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11. Just a matter of time," Musk tweeted.

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) uncovered details of this policy through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit. The lawsuit revealed that the Biden administration's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) approved secretive flights that transported hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants into at least 43 different American airports from January through December 2023.

This program was part of an expansion of the CBP One app, which began at the start of 2023. Under the expanded program, migrants could apply for asylum from their home countries using the app. However, the CIS noted that the transportation of these migrants directly to the U.S. is one of the lesser-known uses of the app.

Illegal immigrants who cannot legally enter the U.S. use the CBP One app to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release. Under this parole release, migrants can stay in the U.S. for two years without obtaining legal status and are eligible for work authorization.

The Biden administration has refused to disclose which airports are involved in this program, citing potential security "vulnerabilities" and concerns about revealing the "information about the relative number of individuals arriving."

The CIS has questioned the legality of these actions, and it remains unclear where the individuals transported under this program are coming from. The report suggests that the CBP One app is available to individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, and Ecuador. However, it is unclear how the Biden administration is justifying asylum for economic migrants from these countries.

The lack of transparency and potential legal issues surrounding this program have led to calls for Congress to investigate. Critics argue that the Biden administration's border policies are unsustainable and pose a significant threat to national security. As the debate continues, many are left wondering whether they will have to wait until the next election to see a change in these policies.
