In an exclusive conversation with Fox News Digital, Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, revealed the inspiration behind her newly published children's book, "The Never-Give-Up Pup."

She emphasized the importance of instilling the values of hard work and perseverance in children, drawing parallels with the current state of the nation.

"Children need to understand the significance of a hard day's work," Lara Trump stated, drawing a parallel between this principle and the current political climate. "We cannot afford to give up when it comes to preserving our nation," she added.

Lara Trump, who is married to Eric Trump, resides in Florida with their two young children. Her book, aimed at children, is published by Brave Books. Recently, she announced her candidacy for the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). The book project, she revealed, began last year in collaboration with the Brave Books team.

"In the current scenario, parents are seeking safe and educational entertainment options for their children," she shared with Fox News Digital. "These books, while rooted in Christian values, also impart moral lessons. As children grow up reading these books, the moral values become an integral part of their daily lives, and the characters remain consistent throughout the series," she said, referring to the Brave Books series.

When approached by the publisher to work on a book, Lara Trump was enthusiastic. "I was thrilled to take on the project because I believe there is a need for more such content for our children," she said.

Her book emphasizes the importance of hard work, resilience, and striving for excellence despite obstacles. She shared a personal anecdote from her high school days that served as an inspiration for the story.

"I remember trying out for the JV cheerleading team in high school and being heartbroken when I didn't make it," she recalled. "My father advised me to work as hard as I could and do everything possible to prepare for the next year's trials." She followed his advice and not only made the team the following year but was selected for the varsity team. "This was a result of the hard work and improvement I had put in," she said.

Lara Trump expressed concern about the perceived lack of appreciation for hard work in today's society. "In a world where participation trophies are commonplace and standards are constantly being lowered, children often get things without much effort or hard work," she said. She stressed the importance of teaching children the value of hard work and the satisfaction that comes from it.

She and her husband, Eric Trump, strive to instill these values in their children. "We work towards this goal every day, among many other things. I thought it was important to convey to children that if you work hard and do your best, the rest will follow," she said.

Lara Trump also spoke about the concept of "divine timing." She felt that the timing of her book's release was perfect, reflecting the challenges her family and her father-in-law, Donald Trump, face. "He never gives up, and neither do we. That's what we need to do as a country. We can't give up. We have to keep fighting, hoping to emerge stronger on the other side," she said.

She acknowledged the efforts of parents in America who constantly strive to educate their children. "Children are naturally curious and ask many questions. It's our job as parents to be prepared with interesting answers," she said.

Lara Trump found the process of collaborating with her publisher on the book easier than expected. "I read to my children regularly and understand their interests. I believe all parents can relate to this, as we all tell stories and answer questions every day," she said.

With the possibility of Donald Trump running for the presidency in 2024, Lara Trump anticipates a busy year ahead for her family. "For the next nine months, we will be extremely busy and focused. If I am elected as the co-chair of the RNC next week, I will be traveling extensively, particularly to D.C. and the RNC headquarters," she said.

She emphasized that her efforts are for the future of her children and the kind of country they will inherit. "If it means I'll be around less for the next eight or nine months, it's worth it. I believe they'll understand the significance of their grandfather's role in the country and my efforts one day," she said.

Lara Trump also expressed her appreciation for her mother, who helps care for her children. "I'm fortunate to have a wonderful mother who stays with our children whenever needed. She'll be doing a lot of that in the coming months," she said.

She also stressed the need for more child-friendly content that parents and grandparents can trust. "Brave Books, though a smaller and newer publishing company, offers such content. Parents can feel secure letting their children immerse themselves in these books without worrying about inappropriate content," she said.

In a lighter vein, Lara Trump, a self-proclaimed "crazy dog lover," shared that her family was not surprised that the characters in her new book are dogs. "A children's book featuring dogs is right up my alley," she said.

"The Never-Give-Up Pup" tells the story of a young Seymour Clues, who struggles to become the best detective on Freedom Island. For more information on Lara Trump's newly published book, visit bravebooks.us.
