With All Her “Accomplishments” What Really Caused Ronna McDaniel To Step Down As RNC Chair?

McDaniel has served the RNC for seven years, a tenure she describes as the "honor and privilege" of her life.

In a statement, McDaniel outlined her accomplishments during her time as Chairwoman. "Some of my proudest accomplishments include firing Nancy Pelosi, winning the popular vote in 2022, creating an Election Integrity Department, building the committee’s first small dollar grassroots donor program, strengthening our state parties through our Growing Republican Organizations to Win program, expanding the Party through minority outreach at our community centers, and launching Bank Your Vote to get Republicans to commit to voting early," she said.

McDaniel plans to step aside at the RNC's Spring Training on March 8 in Houston, allowing the party's nominee to select a new Chair. "The RNC has historically undergone change once we have a nominee and it has always been my intention to honor that tradition," she stated. Despite her departure, McDaniel remains committed to the Republican cause, expressing her dedication to winning back the White House and electing Republicans in the upcoming November elections.

In her statement, McDaniel expressed gratitude to her family, the members of the 168 who elected her four times, President Trump for the opportunity to lead the party, and the RNC staff and donors for their support.

The announcement was disseminated via an email from the RNC on Monday. The email included a link to a page detailing McDaniel's accomplishments and background information, along with several quotes from Republican lawmakers praising her work.
