Border Patrol Releases STARTLING Numbers In New Arrest Report

In a recent revelation, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens disclosed that thousands of illegal immigrants with criminal records have been apprehended in the fiscal year 2024

These individuals, who were detained at the southwest border, have been convicted of heinous crimes such as murder, rape, child molestation, and drug and weapons trafficking.

Owens shared on X Wednesday that during the previous weekend, Border Patrol agents arrested ten individuals with violent criminal histories. He also posted images of four of these convicts, though their origins remain undisclosed.

According to Owens, the Border Patrol has detained over 6,400 subjects with criminal convictions in the fiscal year 2024. He also shared images of several gang members who were arrested over the weekend, claiming they were self-confessed gang members.

In a post, Owens stated that agents in El Paso, Texas, had arrested eight violent cartel and gang members from Venezuela, El Salvador, and Mexico. "So far in FY24, Border Patrol has arrested 178 subjects with gang affiliations," he added.

Earlier this month, Owens reported that a child predator, a Mexican national with a felony conviction for child molestation, was arrested in Laredo, Texas, while attempting to enter the country illegally. The man had previously served a ten-year prison sentence for his crime.

These alarming figures of criminal migrant apprehensions coincide with a significant surge in illegal Chinese immigrants, setting a record at the southern border. In one sector alone, the apprehensions of migrants from the communist nation have already surpassed the total for fiscal 2021 in just a few days.

Sources from U.S. Customs and Border Protection informed Fox News that between Saturday and Monday, 452 Chinese nationals were apprehended by Border Patrol in the San Diego Sector alone. This figure exceeds the 450 apprehended across the entire southwest border in fiscal 2021.

The influx of Chinese nationals has been on the rise since fiscal 2021. In fiscal 2022, the numbers escalated to over 2,000 border-wide, and in fiscal 2023, the figure surged to more than 24,314.
