Former New York Republican Congressman George Santos expressed his vehement disappointment with his colleagues for supporting his expulsion from Congress.

This came after his seat was taken over by a Democrat, thereby reducing the already slim GOP majority in the House.

In a group chat, Santos did not hold back his feelings, referring to his former colleagues as "idiots" for their actions. "I hope you guys are happy with this dismal performance and your 10 million for futile Bull Sh*t cost the party," Santos texted, as per a screenshot obtained by Semafor. He further expressed his anticipation of their defeat due to their "absolute hate-filled campaign to remove me from Congress arbitrarily."

Santos urged his former colleagues to explain their actions to the Republican base and wished them luck in raising funds in the next quarter. The only response came from Rep. Andrew Gabarino, who texted back, "Sorry new phone, who dis?"

Santos' frustration with the GOP was not confined to private messages. Following the news of Democrat Tom Suozzi winning his old seat by defeating Republican Mazi Pilip 59 to 41 percent, Santos publicly criticized those who facilitated this outcome.

"I won NY03 with $0 super PAC money, $0 CLF money and $0 Establishment money," he wrote on X. He accused the establishment of wasting $10 million and credited his victory to grassroots activists and retail politics. He also pointed out that money does not buy votes, but respecting the base does. He further claimed that NY3 is MAGA country and that the MAGA base stayed home because they felt disrespected.

Santos also called on his former GOP colleagues in the House to demand a refund of the $10 million from those he referred to as RINOs (Republicans In Name Only), tagging Reps. Anthony D'Esposito, Nick LaLota, Mike Lawler, Andrew Gabarino, Brandon Williams, Nicole Malliotakis, Nick Langworthy, and Marc Molinaro. He accused these RINOs of being the most effective Democrat operatives in the nation.

In December, the House of Representatives voted 311 to 114 to expel Santos, despite him not having been tried or convicted on any charges.
