Last week, a pile of manure was dumped outside Pelosi's San Francisco residence. In addition, two activists from the anti-war group Code Pink were charged in connection with a protest that resulted in damage to Pelosi's garage door and the surrounding street and sidewalk, which were splattered with red paint. Code Pink has been staging protests at Pelosi's home for over a decade, but the intensity of these demonstrations has increased since Hamas launched an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

In Washington, D.C., Code Pink co-founder Susan "Medea" Benjamin confronted Pelosi as she walked through the halls of Congress, as shown in a video posted on February 6.

The San Francisco Standard reported that two Code Pink activists were charged in connection with the protest at Pelosi's home. Heather Phipps, one of the activists, is facing two counts of felony vandalism, according to a complaint filed with the San Francisco Superior Court. Phipps is accused of damaging Pelosi's garage door, as well as city streets and sidewalks outside the Pacific Heights home Pelosi shares with her husband, Paul Pelosi. The Department of Public Works reported cleanup costs of $5,648, primarily due to paint on the sidewalk, roadway, and street trees. Phipps is scheduled to be arraigned on March 12.

A second protester, Cynthia Papermaster, is facing a misdemeanor vandalism charge for leaving handprints on Pelosi's garage but has yet to be arraigned, according to a Code Pink spokesperson.

On October 29, around the one-year anniversary of an attack on Paul Pelosi by an illegal immigrant from Canada who intended to kidnap Nancy Pelosi, Code Pink confronted Nancy outside her home. The group posted a video of Pelosi's angry response, in which she accused them of being foreign agents.

Code Pink stated that their goal was to hold Pelosi "hostage" while they confronted her in her driveway. They planned to lay down in front of Pelosi's SUV as she was about to leave her home, in order to express their strong opposition to Israel's actions in Gaza, which they described as an "aggressive criminal campaign of extermination." They also criticized the support for Israel shown by most of Congress and President Biden.

After the protesters laid down in front of the vehicle, it took about 10 minutes for the San Francisco police officer present to respond, call for backup, and remove them from the pavement. During this time, Code Pink activists Susan Witka and Cynthia Papermaster expressed their outrage with Pelosi and argued that the majority of Democrats want an immediate ceasefire. Before entering her SUV, Pelosi, who was wearing a large San Francisco 49ers football team scarf, paused to accuse the protesters of being supporters of Russia and China.

The two protesters who blocked Pelosi's vehicle were cited for a petty infraction, "Pedestrian in the road," and ordered to appear in court by November 29.
