This comes amid growing concerns within the Democratic party about the President's age and cognitive abilities.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Harris stated, "I am ready to serve. There’s no question about that." She further asserted that anyone who scrutinizes her work "walks away fully aware of my capacity to lead."
The Vice President's comments were made ahead of the release of Special Counsel Robert Hur's report last Thursday. The report, which investigated Biden's handling of classified documents, characterized the President's memory as having "significant limitations."

Despite these findings, Hur's report did not recommend charges against Biden. The report suggested that the President could potentially defend himself in court as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

IS MCDONALD'S BECOMING THE NEW CHAMPION OF AFFORDABILITY?
James Carville, former President Bill Clinton's lead strategist, expressed doubt about the White House's confidence in Biden. He pointed to Biden's decision to decline a Super Bowl Sunday interview as a sign of this lack of confidence. "It’s the biggest television audience, not even close, and you get a chance to do a 20-25-minute interview on that day," Carville said. "And you don’t do it? That’s a kind of sign that the staff, or yourself, doesn’t have much confidence in you. There’s no other way to read this."

Paul Begala, another former Clinton strategist, described Hur’s report and Biden's subsequent response as "terrible for Democrats." He humorously described his reaction to the situation on CNN last Friday, saying, "I’m a Biden supporter, and I slept like a baby last night: I woke up every two hours crying and wet the bed."
Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton also acknowledged Biden's age as "a legitimate issue" prior to the release of Hur's report.
