Actor and activist Michael Rapaport has publicly admitted to spreading false information about the Charlottesville narrative involving former President Donald Trump.

In a recent appearance on the Patrick Bet David podcast, Rapaport acknowledged his mistake, stating, "I was wrong." Previously, Rapaport had claimed that Trump had referred to there being "fine people on both sides" during the Charlottesville incident.

Rapaport's change of heart regarding Trump is evident in his recent comments. He has even expressed that voting for Trump is now a possibility due to President Biden's actions during the Israel-Hamas conflict and a violent incident involving illegal immigrants attacking police officers in New York City. During the podcast, Rapaport made it clear that he would not be supporting Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, or California Governor Gavin Newsom if he were to run for office.

Reflecting on his past behavior, Rapaport admitted to frequently discussing the Charlottesville incident, particularly when the media portrayed Trump as endorsing neo-Nazis by calling them "very fine people" in April 2017. However, it is important to note that in the same interview, Trump had condemned the display of hatred, bigotry, and violence, stating, "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence."

In a Twitter post from 2017, Rapaport expressed his frustration with Jared Kushner, referring to him as the "only Jewish guy in the White House" who remained silent on Trump's alleged support of white supremacy and neo-Nazis. Rapaport's caption read, "Jared Kushner you make me sick."
