Tucker Carlson, host of the Tucker Carlson Network, recently released a video reflecting on his two-hour sit-down interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the video, Carlson delved into the outcomes of his conversation with Putin, offering his rational assessment.

One of the key points Carlson highlighted was Putin's willingness to entertain the idea of a settlement. "It's interesting that he's willing to say, yeah, I want some kind of settlement," Carlson remarked, acknowledging the significance of this statement.

Furthermore, Carlson addressed the issue of Crimea, shedding light on the stance of US officials. "US officials have said on the record and have said to me, and are telling a bunch of people that part of the terms have to be Russia giving up Crimea," he explained. However, Carlson emphasized the complexities surrounding Crimea, stating, "Without getting into the whole history of Crimea, here are the facts." He went on to highlight that Crimea is home to Russia's warm water fleet, has a significant Russian population, and held a referendum that demonstrated its affiliation with Russia. Carlson also pointed out that Crimea was under Russian control at the beginning of the conflict.

In a passionate tone, Carlson criticized those who believe that Putin would willingly give up Crimea as a condition for peace. "If you really think that a condition of peace is that Putin's going to give up Crimea, then you're like a lunatic," he asserted. Carlson further argued that those who advocate for this position want a weak leadership in Russia, raising the question of why anyone would desire such an outcome.
