President Joe Biden's daily routine and decision-making process are reportedly influenced by his preferred television program, MSNBC's "Morning Joe," according to a report by Axios.

The President is said to regularly watch the show, hosted by the married duo Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, and has even sought advice from some of the show's recurring guests.

Throughout the day, President Biden reportedly asks his staff about various segments and topics discussed on the four-hour program. This has led some aides to watch the show in anticipation of their boss's inquiries, Axios reported.

The President has previously invited experienced journalist Mike Barnicle, former diplomat Richard Haass, and historian Jon Meacham, who are all regular contributors to the program, to consult with him, according to Axios. Meacham has reportedly assisted the President with several speeches. Other frequent guests on the show have reportedly been invited to off-the-record discussions with policy experts.

Several of President Biden's top officials reportedly believe that "Morning Joe" provides a more balanced review than other programs, a White House aide told Axios. However, the show has not shied away from criticizing the President. In January, Scarborough expressed surprise that President Biden had not dismissed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin for concealing his hospitalization from the President.

Following the Axios report, Scarborough suggested that the White House should allow President Biden to appear in public more frequently. "I think this may be one reason why the White House probably should let him out more," Scarborough reportedly said. "There's been concerns that he's not getting out, he's not doing enough stuff, he's not answering enough questions. All right, so if he makes a mistake, he makes a mistake."

Vice President Kamala Harris also reportedly watches "Morning Joe," but she has her own preferred program. According to White House aides who spoke to Axios, the Vice President occasionally watches the Fox News show "The Five," a habit that some aides believe has distracted her.

"It got in her head and caused high anxiety because they were constantly hammering her," a former Harris aide told Axios, referring to the negative coverage of the Vice President on Fox News. This report underscores the influence of media consumption on the decision-making process within the White House, highlighting the importance of diverse perspectives in shaping policy and public image.
