Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, once confined to liberal college campuses, have now permeated every aspect of American life.

However, these policies are not only divisive but also often racist. Progressives who champion this ideology are inadvertently regressing the country, blinded by their own beliefs.

Government agencies, particularly law enforcement, should unequivocally reject these policies. Unfortunately, the opposite is happening. The FBI, for instance, has embraced DEI to such an extent that it is compromising its hiring standards in a manner that seems almost satirical.

According to a report by The Daily Caller, a group of current and former FBI agents and analysts allege that the bureau is now considering overweight applicants and hiring agents who are barely literate. The report, delivered to the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees, highlights how DEI has become the primary focus in the hiring process, resulting in lowered standards for physical fitness, drug usage, finances, mental health, experience, and integrity.

The report asserts, "To more easily accommodate a larger pool of available applicants, FBI Special Agent hiring standards have been relaxed and requirements measurably lowered in categories that include physical fitness, illicit drug use, financial irregularities, mental health, full-time work experience, and integrity." The New York Post was the first to report on the FBI hiring document.

The anecdotes described in the report were gathered from 20 sources and sub-sources, all of whom are either currently employed by or retired from the FBI.

It is crucial to recognize the dangers of political correctness, as it puts people's lives at risk. The prioritization of DEI over merit and competence is a dangerous path that must be abandoned. Allowing these policies to persist will inevitably lead to tragic consequences. It is imperative that this trend comes to an end before it costs innocent lives.
