Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is set to launch a new fitness challenge as part of his presidential campaign, amid rising concerns about the physical and mental fitness of former President Trump and current President Biden in the run-up to the 2024 election.

Kennedy, who occasionally exercises at Gold's Gym in Venice, California, will introduce the AmericaMoves challenge on Monday. The initiative encourages participants to engage in at least 24 minutes of physical activity daily, promoting healthier habits ahead of the 2024 election.

The AmericaMoves challenge, according to a statement from Kennedy's campaign to Fox News Digital, aims to "ignite a wellness revolution" with the assistance of influencers such as Devon Levesque, the first person to bear crawl a marathon, and renowned physician and author Dr. Mark Hyman. The challenge is inspired by Kennedy's personal fitness routine.

This initiative comes at a time when both Democratic commentators and GOP presidential contender Nikki Haley have criticized Trump's mental fitness. The criticism followed an incident at a New Hampshire rally where Trump mistakenly used Haley's name instead of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's while repeating allegations that Pelosi declined 10,000 National Guard troops ahead of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Trump retaliated at another rally, asserting that his mind is "stronger now than it was 25 years ago," the exact age difference between him and Haley. He also questioned Biden's mental and physical fitness, pointing out the president's shorter public appearances and difficulties navigating stages.

Biden has been widely criticized for his frequent public gaffes and concerns about his public falls and trips at speaking events and while boarding Air Force One. However, Biden's campaign officials maintain that the 2024 race "is not going to be about age," a sentiment echoed by Trump, who said, "It's not age. Different people, different strokes."

Kennedy, who turned 70 on Jan. 17, gained internet fame last summer when a video of him doing nearly 10 push-ups shirtless went viral. He captioned the video, "Getting in shape for my debates with President Biden!" The video, which was viewed millions of times in June, was praised by fitness influencers and conservative activists who admired Kennedy's physical prowess and muscular physique.

The challenge is inspired by Kennedy’s own workouts and the fitness enthusiasts who are invigorated by him, according to his campaign.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who suspended his presidential campaign after Trump won the Iowa caucuses, also gained internet fame for workout videos with his wife. Ramaswamy, 38, has emphasized on the campaign trail that America needs a "new generational leader" and is being considered among a long list of Trump's potential running mates.

Kennedy, a nephew of President Kennedy and son of Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, announced in October that he was ending his Democratic presidential bid and launching an independent run.

The best-selling author and environmentalist has become a vocal critic of tech and government censorship after initially launching a bid to challenge Biden for the Democratic nomination in Boston last April. He has criticized Biden for denying him Secret Service protection afforded to other presidential candidates on the campaign trail.
