In the wake of former President Donald Trump's triumph in the Iowa caucuses, current President Joe Biden has publicly criticized his primary political adversary.

"Looks like Donald Trump just won Iowa. He’s the clear front runner on the other side at this point," Biden stated in a social media post, adding, "But here’s the thing: this election was always going to be you and me vs. extreme MAGA Republicans. It was true yesterday and it’ll be true tomorrow."

Biden's post concluded with a link to his donation page.

Trump's victory in the Iowa Caucus was by a significant margin, with Presidential candidate Vivek Ramasawmy withdrawing from the race, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis securing second place, and Nikki Haley finishing third.

This isn't the first instance of Biden labeling Trump supporters as "extremists." During a 2023 summer speech in Philadelphia, Biden proclaimed, "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. Now, I want to be very clear— very clear up front: Not every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology."

He further stated, "I know because I’ve been able to work with these mainstream Republicans. But there is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country."

In a subsequent address near Valley Forge, PA, Biden accused Trump of "echoing the same exact language used in Nazi Germany," and alleged that Trump's 2024 campaign could be characterized by the words "revenge," "power," and "dictatorship." "There’s no confusion about who Trump is and what he intends to do," Biden asserted.

Biden employed similar rhetoric to describe his political opponents in a speech delivered in front of Independence Hall in September 2022, stating, "Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

In the 2020 election, when Biden assumed the presidency, approximately 47 percent of the popular vote was cast in favor of President Trump. Biden's comments would be directed at these voters.

Furthermore, Biden's Department of Justice has also labeled Catholics who attend Latin Mass and parents who voice their concerns at school board meetings as extremists.
