Republican Sam Brown, a veteran of the Afghanistan war and retired U.S. Army Captain, has announced his candidacy for the Senate in Nevada.

If successful in the primary, Brown will likely face incumbent Democrat Sen. Jacky Rosen, potentially flipping a crucial Senate seat.

According to Fox News, Brown's message has struck a chord with the people of Nevada. In the fourth quarter of last year, he set a new fundraising record, raising an impressive $1.85 million. This amount surpasses any challenger to an incumbent running for re-election in Nevada history. When combined with his third-quarter fundraising, Brown's campaign has brought in a total of $3.04 million.

Expressing his gratitude, Brown told Fox News, "I'm extremely grateful that tens of thousands of everyday Americans have dug deep and contributed to this campaign. Every day, as we travel throughout Nevada and speak with voters, I'm reminded of why this race is so critical to the future of our state."

Brown's campaign is focused on addressing the negative impact of the policies implemented by Jacky Rosen and President Joe Biden. He believes that their reckless actions have made the American Dream unattainable for most Nevadans and have left the borders vulnerable to drugs and violence. Brown aims to secure the borders, restore prosperity, and put an end to what he calls "Joe Biden and Jacky Rosen's American Nightmare."

Faith Jones, Brown's campaign manager, emphasized the challenges faced by Nevada under the leadership of Biden and Rosen. Nevada has struggled with the highest unemployment rate in the country, soaring energy costs, and underperforming schools. Jones believes that Nevadans are seeking hope for a better future, and Brown's People's Agenda will provide the solutions needed for recovery and growth.

It is worth noting that Jacky Rosen, who leans towards the far-left, defeated Dean Heller in the 2018 mid-term elections. Recently, Rosen celebrated the election of a self-proclaimed socialist to Nevada's largest county commission.
