Data from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reveals that under President Joe Biden's administration, illegal immigrants arriving at the United States borders have less than a five percent likelihood of deportation.

The ICE's Fiscal Year 2023 report provides a detailed account of this situation. Over 3.2 million illegal immigrants were encountered at the nation's borders during this period, with only 142,580 deportations carried out by ICE agents. This translates to a mere 4.4 percent chance of deportation within the year for those who arrived in the U.S. last year.

Lora Ries, the director of the Border Security and Immigration Center at the Heritage Foundation, challenged the recent assertion by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that the agency has deported a "record number of individuals" arriving at U.S. borders.

Ries told Breitbart News, "Alejandro Mayorkas can't play it both ways. He's already publicly admitted that they've released at least 70 percent of the 10+ million illegal aliens encountered by Customs and Border Protection in the past three years." She added, "He can't then go portray himself as a secretary of immigration enforcement based on deportations, especially when you examine the numbers to scale. The American people stopped believing his lies long ago."

Breitbart News also reported that few illegal immigrants are being deported from the U.S. interior, a process known as "interior removals." These removals involve illegal immigrants residing across American communities, excluding recent arrivals at U.S. borders.

In Fiscal Year 2023, fewer than 4,000 illegal immigrants were deported monthly from the U.S. interior by ICE agents. This figure contrasts with the average of 7,000 monthly deportations during former President Donald Trump's first three years in office.

Under Trump's administration, illegal immigrants had a significantly higher chance of deportation, with his DHS removing 23 to 28 percent of annual illegal alien encounters from the U.S.

RJ Hauman, President of the National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE), told Breitbart News, "President Trump stood for American sovereignty and proudly enforced our laws." He added, "A country that doesn't properly deport illegal aliens is no country at all. Joe Biden is derelict in his duties as President."
