In a disturbing incident, the office of Republican NY Congressman Mike Lawler was defaced with anti-Israel sentiments on December 27, as reported by several media outlets.

The Blue Hill Plaza building, which houses Lawler's office, was found plastered with stickers bearing these messages.

Lawler took to social media platform X to express his reaction to the incident, stating, “Yesterday, the front entrance of our district office building was defaced with messages attacking me for my support for Israel. I will not be intimidated & I will not waver from supporting our greatest ally as they fight to stop Hamas' terror once & for all & rescue their people.”

The act of vandalism, which primarily demanded a ceasefire, occurred a mere week after Hamas rejected another ceasefire proposal. Ghazi Hamad, a senior Hamas leader, declared on Telegram, "We will not hold any form of talks over [a] prisoners exchange under the continuation of the Israeli genocide war."

In response to the incident, Lawler expressed his disappointment in the escalation of rhetoric, which he believes is not a solution to the ongoing issue. He told Westchester News 12, "The escalation of rhetoric, manifesting itself in defacing government offices, is severely wrong and unfortunate, and it's not solving anything." He further stated that the incident had only reinforced his support for Israel.

Local law enforcement informed News 12 that they were still investigating the incident. This act of vandalism bears a striking resemblance to a similar attack on the office of Democratic Rep. Pat Ryan a week earlier. Ryan's office was spray-painted with accusations of him being a “war criminal” and demands for a ceasefire.

In a related incident a month earlier, anti-Israel protesters defaced the White House gates and attempted to breach the wall in protest of the U.S.'s support for Israel. The protesters were seen threatening Secret Service agents and throwing red paint on the fence.
