Renowned rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye, has publicly apologized to the Jewish community, a year after his controversial anti-Semitic remarks sparked widespread outrage.

The apology was issued via an Instagram post in Hebrew, reaching his 18 million followers.

In his translated statement, West expressed, “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions.” He further clarified his intentions, stating, “It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.”

West's apology, however, was met with skepticism by some of his followers. One user responded, “You’ve already done your damage.” Another follower criticized his apology, stating, “Unintended outburst? You went on an entire tirade, denounced and denied our existence and validity as our own selves, and ultimately aligned yourself with Hitler. That does not happen unintentionally.”

The controversy traces back to a series of statements made by West, where he accused the Jewish community of controlling significant portions of the global economy and the entertainment industry. He also made remarks praising Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, which were widely condemned.

During an interview with Alex Jones last December, West stirred controversy when he complimented the German society under Nazi rule. “The Jewish media has made us feel like the Nazis and Hitler have never offered anything of value to the world,” West said, adding, “I see good things about Hitler, also.”

West further expressed his discontent with the perceived control of the Jewish community, stating, “Jewish people are not going to tell me, ‘You can love us, and you can love what we’re doing to you with the contracts, and you can love what we’re pushing with the pornography.’”

In October 2022, West engaged in a heated debate with “NewsNation” host Chris Cuomo, expressing his opposition to Jews in positions of power. He alleged the existence of a “Jewish underground media mafia” in the music industry, as reported by Billboard.
