In a surprising twist to the classic 'Twas the Night Before Christmas verse, former President Donald Trump offered a unique interpretation of the well-known "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night" line.

This was part of a Christmas Day message posted on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Trump's festive greeting included a pointed message to Joe Biden, whom he referred to as "Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith." He continued, "the out of control Lunatic who just hired outside attorneys, fresh from the SWAMP (unprecedented!), to help him with his poorly executed WITCH HUNT against ‘TRUMP’ and 'MAGA.'"

The former president's Christmas message also extended to "World Leaders both good and bad," and to what he termed the "SICK thugs" in the U.S. He accused these individuals of attempting to "destroy our once great USA" through policies such as "Open Borders, INFLATION, Afghanistan Surrender, Green New Scam, High Taxes, No Energy Independence, Woke Military, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Iran, All Electric Car Lunacy, and so much more."

"MAY THEY ROT IN HELL," Trump concluded, before wishing his audience a Merry Christmas once again.

This was one of several Christmas posts from Trump, who currently leads the pack as the Republican front-runner for the 2024 presidential nomination.

In another post, Trump shared a clip from the 1992 film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, in which he made a brief appearance. He also took the opportunity to criticize former President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act legislation, stating, "Obamacare is too expensive, and otherwise, not good healthcare. I will come up with a much better, and less expensive, alternative! People will be happy, not sad!"

Despite facing numerous legal challenges, Trump continues to gain traction in the Republican presidential nomination race. According to a recent Fox News survey, less than a third of GOP primary voters now support all his rivals combined.

Trump's support in the primary race currently stands at 69%, an increase of 7 points since November and a full 26 points since February. Other candidates, including Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, and Asa Hutchinson, trail behind.
