The panel was organized by The Red Nation, an organization to which Yazzie is affiliated. The group, which is openly anti-Israel, declares its commitment to "the liberation of Native peoples from capitalism and colonialism" on its website, and openly supports Palestine in "their struggle for decolonization and landback."
The Red Nation's website also features a podcast playlist, which includes episodes such as "A free Palestine frees us all" and "'A nightmare and a dream': Palestinians rise up," published on October 9.

"We're in the belly of the beast," Yazzie told the audience, referring to the United States. "We're all indigenous people who come from nations that are under occupation by the United States government."
Yazzie further criticized the United States' support for Israel, stating, "And of course the US bankrolls the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land. They're one in the same." She went on to describe the United States as the "greatest predator empire that ever existed."

“The goal is to dismantle the settler project that is the United States. For the freedom and future of all life on this planet depends on that," Yazzie concluded.
The panel discussion, which lasted two hours, was part of a "teach in" on Red Nation's YouTube channel. Another panelist, Nick Estes, compared Israel and the United States, asserting that "decolonization - not only is it an imperative - but is a necessity for life on this planet."

On November 4, Yazzie addressed 300,000 anti-Israel marchers in Washington DC, declaring that "decolonization and land back are the only forms of justice for the crimes of settler colonialism" and that "[a] free Palestine frees us all to build a future of peace and equality."
On the same day, Palestinian activists reportedly scaled the gates of the White House and smeared red paint on the walls.
