Seattle Public School Teacher Who Displayed Terrorist Images In Classroom Revealed To Have Criminal Background

Ian Peter Golash, a history teacher at Seattle Public Schools and chair of the school's social studies department, has been revealed to have a criminal record, in addition to his controversial classroom practices.

Golash, who has been known to display images of terrorists in his classroom, has been arrested multiple times in Oregon for charges including assault, parole violation, and criminal harassment, according to Andy Ngo, editor-at-large at The Post Millennial. Ngo also reported that Golash was convicted for the criminal harassment charge.

Golash's controversial teaching methods have come under scrutiny recently. He has been known to make statements such as "Hamas didn't behead anyone. Hamas didn't rape anyone," and has given a failing grade to a student who stated that only women can conceive a child and that only men have penises. Furthermore, Golash has been charged with trespassing and harassment in Washington.

In response to the growing concerns, the school's principal, Ray Garcia Morales, sent an email to parents on October 7, stating that there have been numerous inquiries related to the content covered in one of the school's classes. Morales assured parents that the school is currently investigating the situation.

Golash's support for Hamas, Antifa, and the "abolish the police" movement on social media has raised eyebrows. He has also been known to display posters glorifying terrorists outside his classroom and has made claims that Hamas did not commit atrocities during terror attacks, instead blaming Israel for the deaths.

In addition to his teaching role, Golash is a plaintiff in a Black Lives Matter lawsuit against Seattle, King County, the state, and a black driver who hit and killed a protester attempting to shut down a freeway in 2020. During the 2020 unrest following the death of George Floyd, Golash led student protesters into the King County Jail and attempted to block news cameras.

Since these revelations, Golash has protected his tweets, deleted his Facebook account, and locked his Instagram account. It also appears that his information is being removed from the Seattle Public Schools website.

Golash, who teaches "Ethnic Studies World History" to 10th graders at Chief Sealth International High, is also the school's representative for the Seattle Education Association teachers' union. This union recently passed a pro-Hamas resolution. After the October 7 massacre of Israelis, during which over 1,200 were killed and over 200 were taken captive by Hamas terrorists, Golash wrote on Facebook, "Hamas didn't behead anyone. Hamas didn't rape anyone."

Golash also claimed that the charred bodies found were the result of Israeli tanks, missiles, or helicopter gunships, not Hamas soldiers. He further alleged that Israel chose to kill Israeli civilians, including at least one child, in their efforts to kill Hamas militants. He concluded his post by stating, "I'm just trying to get it straight for myself... also, f*ck Hamas, f*ck Israel, I'm a communist."

In addition to his controversial statements, Golash has also praised Yasser Arafat, the mass murderer and head of the terrorist group the Palestinian Liberation Organization.
