Here's The Latest Dem Rep. To Join The War Against Elon Musk And 'X'

A recent post by Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) has sparked a wave of concern.

The Biden administration has initiated a series of investigations into Musk's companies, including X. The Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are all involved in these investigations.

Musk recently lodged a lawsuit, which he referred to as a "thermonuclear lawsuit," against Media Matters. He alleges that the organization defamed the X platform by publishing a report claiming that advertisements for major brands were displayed alongside posts that praised Nazism. This report led to several prominent advertisers withdrawing their advertisements from X, threatening the platform's financial stability.

The validity of the Media Matters report has been questioned, and two Attorneys General, Ken Paxton of Texas and Andrew Bailey of Missouri, have announced their intention to investigate. Paxton stated that he was initiating an investigation into "potential fraudulent activity," and pointed out that there are "left-wing organizations who would like nothing more than to limit freedom by reducing participation in the public square."

Several individuals, including Megyn Kelly, have defended Musk and the importance of preserving X. Other websites and influencers have pledged their advertising support.

However, Schiff is now attempting to intensify the pressure on Musk and X. "Elon Musk has been amplifying antisemitic content, profiting from misinformation, and allowing pro-Hamas propaganda to spread on X," Schiff alleged. "This needs to stop. I've joined @RepDanGoldman and @RepRaskin in demanding accountability from X."

It raises the question of whether Schiff and his fellow representatives are aware of the First Amendment and their duty to protect it.

This situation appears to be about exerting pressure on X, rather than addressing "antisemitism." Musk is not antisemitic. Instead of focusing on Musk, Schiff should turn his attention to the violent antisemitic individuals within his own party who have been causing chaos in the streets. He seems reluctant to criticize those within his own party who have made antisemitic comments.

In Schiff's case, his actions may also be influenced by the Twitter Files, which revealed his attempts to sway the site under its previous ownership. It is somewhat ironic that Schiff, who propagated the Russia collusion hoax, is now discussing "misinformation."

Schiff's post has attracted significant attention online and has gone viral.

With all the other issues currently at play, it is surprising that this is the focus, rather than more pressing matters. This sentiment is echoed by a New Yorker named Goldman:

The son of Roseanne Barr also chimed in: "Did you talk to your squad colleagues about this?"

The overarching sentiment seems to be one of frustration and disbelief at the current focus of these political figures. As one user put it, "They have to destroy anything and everything that could possibly refute their agenda. This lying administration and their cronies have no place in determining what Americans should or shouldn’t say or hear."
