As reported by Benzinga, the inaugural show is scheduled for November 10, 2023, on the social shopping platform of Verb Technology Company Inc. The shows are designed to facilitate a seamless shopping experience for customers and fans, allowing them to interact directly with Lindell and co-host Tiffany Bucciarelli from the MARKET.live show 'Life-Styled with Tiffany & Sergio'.
Lindell shared his excitement about the venture with Yahoo Finance, stating, "I’m constantly asked by my fans and customers when I would return to live selling. While we’ve had enormous success with televised live selling over the years, changes in technology have produced changes in how people shop." He further explained the shift in consumer preferences, noting that "Televised shopping shows are far less popular and far less effective than they were over the past decade. Today, people prefer a mobile-friendly shopping experience, allowing them to shop where and when they want, and not just through static images."
Lindell expressed his ambition to lead the livestream shopping trend by offering MyPillow fans and customers the opportunity to shop through videos, engage directly with the team, and purchase products quickly and easily through on-screen clickable icons. "We intend to be at the forefront of livestream shopping and that’s why we selected Verb’s MARKET.live as our livestream partner of choice," he added.
Rory J. Cutaia, Verb's CEO, expressed his delight at the partnership, stating, "We’re thrilled to welcome Mike Lindell and the MyPillow brand to MARKET.live. MARKET.live represents a perfect opportunity for the millions of MyPillow fans to engage directly with Mike and the ever-expanding catalogue of incredible top quality MyPillow products."
MARKET.live, which hosts hundreds of shows on its platform, ranging from small creators to big-box brick and mortar staples, also offers shoppers the chance to ask hosts questions during live streams, invite friends to shop with them, and chat with others in real time. Verb has also partnered with TikTok to integrate MARKET.live’s with the social media platform’s shop feature.
Livestream sales are projected to constitute 5 percent of all e-commerce sales in the US by 2026. However, the U.S. market could potentially exceed this projection, given that livestream sales are expected to account for 19 percent of all e-commerce sales in China in 2023.
