Several Democrats are finally speaking out against Rashida Tlaib, the Michigan representative known for her radical views.

Tlaib, the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, has been a controversial figure since her election to Congress in 2018. However, it was her recent call for genocide that caught the attention of some leftists.

In a video posted on social media, Tlaib combined footage from pro-Palestinian demonstrations with a warning to President Joe Biden. She claimed that the American people were not with him and ended the video with the text, "Joe Biden supported the genocide of the Palestinian people." The video also included scenes of demonstrations and statements from National Security Council spokesman John Kirby and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The problem with Tlaib's video was not the images of American demonstrators supporting terrorists, but rather the slogan she highlighted: "From the river to the sea, Palestine must be free." This chant is a clear call for the destruction of Israel, as it refers to the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, the eastern and western borders of Israel. It implies the end of Israel as a sovereign nation and the demise of the world's only Jewish state.

Tlaib, however, defended the slogan as an "aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence." While it is possible that Tlaib and her supporters believe this, the reality is that the slogan is used by those who seek the destruction of Israel. It is a rallying cry for Hamas and the murderous mullahs of Tehran, who fund Hamas terrorists.

Even some Democrats have spoken out against Tlaib's use of the slogan. Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss stated that Hamas uses the phrase as a rallying cry and wants Jews dead. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, a Democrat, pleaded with Tlaib to retract her remarks, calling them cruel and hateful. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Rep. Elissa Slotkin, both Democrats, also criticized Tlaib for her comments.
