President Biden has come under scrutiny after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer alleged that the President received $40,000 in "laundered China money" in 2017.

Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, made these claims in a video posted on Wednesday, where he detailed his findings from his investigation into the Biden family's business dealings.

According to Comer, the money was transferred to President Biden's bank account in the form of a personal check from his brother and sister-in-law. Comer argues that this transaction exposes the president to potential blackmail from Beijing. He also accuses President Biden of benefiting from his family's business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party-linked CEFC.

Comer's investigation reveals that the money trail began in July 2017 when Hunter Biden, the president's son, demanded a $10 million payment from a CEFC associate. In a WhatsApp message, Hunter Biden claimed that he was sitting with his father and that the Biden network would turn on the associate if the payment was not made. This message suggests that Hunter Biden used his father's influence to secure the payment.

The $10 million payment was intended for a joint-venture between Hunter Biden and CEFC called SinoHawk Holdings. Comer alleges that Hunter's extortion scheme worked, as $5 million was transferred from a Chinese affiliate of CEFC to a joint-venture established by Hunter Biden and CEFC associate Gongwen Dong. From there, $400,000 was sent to Owasco, P.C., a separate entity controlled by Hunter Biden. On August 14, 2017, Hunter Biden wired $150,000 to Lion Hall Group, a company owned by James Biden and his wife Sara Biden. Sara Biden later withdrew $50,000 in cash from Lion Hall Group and deposited it into her and James Biden's personal checking account. A few days later, Sara Biden wrote a check to Joe Biden for $40,000, which was labeled as a "loan repayment."

Comer argues that even if the check was indeed a loan repayment, it still demonstrates how President Biden benefited from his family's business dealings and cashed in on his name, with money coming from China. He claims that President Biden's acceptance of funds sourced from a CCP-linked company exposes him to future blackmail and puts America's interests behind his own desire for money.

President Biden has consistently maintained that he was never involved in his son's business dealings. However, text messages obtained by Fox News Digital in 2020 suggest otherwise. These messages reveal that Joe Biden met with Hunter's business associates for the Sinohawk venture in May 2017, just days before an email discussing "remuneration packages" for individuals involved in the business deal with CEFC. The email includes a reference to the "big guy," which is believed to be President Biden.

In addition to these allegations, the House Oversight Committee has released a memo detailing additional payments from Chinese companies to President Biden. Comer's investigation has also uncovered evidence that President Biden received a $200,000 direct payment in 2018 from James Biden and Sara Biden, which was labeled as a "loan repayment." James Biden, in turn, received $600,000 in loans from Americore, a financially distressed rural hospital operator. Comer argues that James Biden received these loans based on his last name and political connections.

The White House has responded to these allegations by stating that as a private citizen, President Biden loaned his brother money when he needed it, and there is evidence that he was repaid. However, Comer maintains that the investigation reveals a pattern of the Biden family cashing in on the president's name and using their connections for personal gain.

As the investigation continues, Comer vows to follow the money and hold President Biden accountable for what he sees as corruption. The allegations raised by Comer and the House Oversight Committee add to the ongoing controversy surrounding the Biden family's business dealings and raise questions about the president's involvement.
