In a recent episode of his widely followed podcast, Joe Rogan expressed his concerns about what he perceives as an attempt to instill a "woke, guilt-ridden ideology" in his five-year-old daughter by a teacher in California.

Rogan, who now resides in Austin, praised the quality of schools in his new locale, but expressed reservations about the educational climate in California. He claimed that a teacher was hired to instill in the children the idea that it's insufficient to merely not be racist, but that they must actively be antiracist.

"My children are not racist in the slightest," Rogan stated during the episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience". He questioned the necessity of instilling in their minds the idea that they must actively oppose racism and call it out when they see it.

Rogan accused the teacher of attempting to turn the children into activists. "They're only five years old. They're not concerned with these issues. They just want to make friends, regardless of what their friends look like," he argued. "They're just trying to enjoy themselves. They're only five. They're just playing."

Rogan criticized the teacher for attempting to indoctrinate the children with a "woke, guilt-ridden ideology". He suggested that the teacher felt obligated to impose this ideology on the children.

Rogan proposed that instead of focusing on being antiracist, society should strive to be color-blind. He referenced Martin Luther King's idea that people should be judged by their character, not their skin color.

Rogan acknowledged that there are "inequalities in communities" and that "some people are in places that have no hope." However, he argued that these real issues are not being addressed or resolved. Instead, he claimed, children are being made to feel guilty.

"I was not a fan of the woke culture," Rogan stated. "I didn't appreciate that they were asking children about their pronouns."

In 2020, Rogan relocated his family from California to Austin, Texas. He cited the overpopulation in Los Angeles and the greater freedom he found in Austin as the reasons for the move.
