Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made an appearance on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday, where she discussed various topics including the border crisis, the auto union strike, and Senator Menendez's bribery indictment.

During the interview, CBS's Margaret Brennan brought up the auto worker union strike and President Biden's failure to secure the union's endorsement.

In an unprecedented move, the 150,000-member United Auto Workers Union went on strike against the "Big 3" manufacturers - Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis (the newly-formed merger of Fiat Chrysler and the PSA Group) - after failing to reach a deal. The autoworkers expressed their dissatisfaction with President Biden.

A couple of weeks ago, on the eve of the historic United Auto Workers union strike, autoworkers criticized President Biden, who had planned to visit the picket line on Tuesday, after former President Trump announced his own visit to address hundreds of union workers. Representative Ocasio-Cortez referred to President Biden's last-minute plan as a "historic, historic event."

However, Margaret Brennan confronted Ocasio-Cortez about her ownership of a non-union-made Tesla, calling her a hypocrite. Brennan quoted Ocasio-Cortez from July, where she expressed her intention to purchase a union-made electric vehicle. Brennan questioned why Ocasio-Cortez currently owns a non-union-made Tesla.

In response, Ocasio-Cortez explained that the car was purchased during the pandemic, before a vaccine had become available.
