Republican Senator Tim Scott is set to unveil a new plan aimed at defending America's children, empowering parents, and protecting kids online.

The proposal, which was shared exclusively with Fox News Digital, will be announced during Scott's campaign swing through his home state of South Carolina. The senator believes that teachers' unions, Big Tech, and President Joe Biden are working to diminish the importance of parents in their children's lives.

"I have a bold agenda to support and empower parents - from the classroom to the locker room to the smartphone. We must empower parents and give them a choice, so that every child has a chance," Scott stated.

Scott's plan is part of a broader effort by Republicans to emphasize the role of parental control in public schools. The first component of his "Empower Parents Plan" focuses on creating a "family first culture" that defends children's rights.

Scott, who is the only Black Republican in the Senate and a rising star in the GOP, advocates for restoring "American childhood" and preserving traditional gender roles. He also aims to protect Title IX and women's sports, stating, "if God made you a man, you play sports against other men." Additionally, Scott pledges to support crisis pregnancy centers and address far-left threats and vandalism that he believes the Department of Justice is ignoring.

Another key aspect of Scott's plan is empowering parents by ensuring they have access to information about their children's education. He wants to give parents the right to opt out of curriculum that conflicts with their values and religious liberty. Scott also aims to break the influence of teachers' unions and implement nationwide school choice, allowing parents to decide whether to send their children to public, private, charter, STEM schools, or homeschooling.

Scott emphasizes the need to replace indoctrination with education, rejecting Critical Race Theory (CRT) and advocating for a return to traditional teaching methods. He states, "ABC, not CRT."

The third component of Scott's plan focuses on protecting children from the negative impacts of Big Tech and foreign interference. He calls for country-of-origin labeling on every app to inform parents and urges Big Tech companies to do more to ensure children's safety online.

The Republican Party has been increasingly vocal about defending parental rights, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted education and highlighted the importance of parental involvement. Republican victories, such as Glenn Youngkin's win in Virginia's 2021 gubernatorial election, where parental rights were a central issue, have energized the party.

House Republicans have also made parental rights a priority, passing a "Parents Bill of Rights" aimed at increasing transparency and information for parents regarding their children's education.

On the presidential campaign trail, Republican candidates have been competing to demonstrate their commitment to parental rights. Five Republican presidential candidates, including former President Donald Trump, spoke at the annual summit of Moms for Liberty, a conservative parental rights organization that has gained significant influence within Republican circles.

Democrats argue that the Republican push for parental rights is an attempt to undermine public education and promote an anti-woke agenda. However, Republicans maintain that their efforts are focused on empowering parents and ensuring that children receive a well-rounded education that aligns with their values and beliefs.
