Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley criticized ABC host George Stephanopoulos on Friday during a heated exchange over President Joe Biden's ability to complete his term in the White House.

Haley asserted that "everyone in America can see" Biden's decline and expressed concerns about his capacity to serve a second term. She also argued that voting for Biden would essentially be a vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, urging the media to stop protecting Biden and start telling the truth to the American people.

Haley has consistently called on the media to improve its performance. During the first Republican primary debate on Wednesday, she urged the press to question Biden and Harris about their stance on abortion access limitations. Age has also become a focal point in Haley's campaign, as she has repeatedly highlighted Biden's age as a potential obstacle to completing a second term, given that he would turn 86 in 2028.

The interview between Haley and Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America" grew tense when Haley reiterated her concerns about Biden's ability to finish his term. Stephanopoulos, a former Clinton White House aide, pressed Haley to justify her support for former President Donald Trump, even if he were convicted of a crime. Haley responded by emphasizing that a vote for Biden would effectively result in Harris becoming president before the end of his term. Stephanopoulos interrupted, questioning Haley's assertion and asking for evidence.

Haley defended her position by pointing to Biden's decline over the past few years and asking Stephanopoulos if he truly believed Biden would finish what he started. She argued that the American people deserved honesty and expressed her belief that an 81-year-old president was not suitable for the country.

Haley emphasized the need for a new generational leader and criticized the Senate for becoming a privileged nursing home. As a younger candidate herself, Haley has positioned herself as part of the next generation of leaders, contrasting with the older ages of Biden and Trump, who are 80 and 77, respectively.

Haley's age has already garnered attention in the media this year. CNN host Don Lemon, who is five years older than Haley, made a sexist remark about her not being "in her prime." Lemon later apologized for his comment, but the incident contributed to his eventual firing in April.
