Billy Busch, the heir to Anheuser-Busch, has expressed his desire to repurchase the company from InBev, a Brazil-based firm that acquired Anheuser-Busch in 2008.

This move comes in the wake of a controversial marketing campaign by Bud Light, which featured trans-identified TikToker Dylan Mulvaney. Busch is determined to restore the brand's reputation, stating, "Make that brand great again."

In a recent episode of "Fearless" with Tomi Lahren, Busch voiced his concerns about the brand's current management, arguing that InBev lacks a deep understanding of the brand's core consumers. According to Fox News, Busch stated, "I think InBev doesn’t understand who their core drinker is. It’s a Brazilian-based company that really doesn’t live here in America."

Busch reminisced about the time when his family was at the helm of Anheuser-Busch, emphasizing their close relationship with customers, bar owners, restaurant owners, and liquor store owners. He said, "They knew who their drinkers were. They were with the bar owners and the restaurant owners and the liquor store owners and talking to these people day in and day out. Even my dad at 89 years old, 90 years old, he was still going to the bars selling Budweiser back in those days, in the '80s."

He criticized Anheuser-Busch InBev for its ill-conceived marketing campaign, which he believes tarnished the reputation his family had painstakingly built. Busch attributed this misstep to the company's reliance on "woke marketing students" for their advertising needs. He warned, "When you are a foreign company and you rely on these woke students that are coming out of these woke colleges to do your advertising for you, you’re making a big mistake.”

Busch has publicly announced his intention to buy back Bud Light if InBev is open to selling. He said, "I urge that company, InBev, if they don’t want that brand any longer, sell it back to the Busch family. Sell it to me. I’ll be the first in line to buy that brand back from you. And we’ll make that brand great again."

The Bud Light controversy, which unfolded in April, has reportedly cost the company billions of dollars in revenue due to nationwide boycotts of the brand.
