In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan expressed his skepticism towards Vice President Kamala Harris and California Governor Gavin Newsom as potential presidential candidates.

Rogan argued that the American people would reject either of these Democratic politicians. "I just can't imagine the United States wants President Kamala Harris," Rogan stated. "I don't think anybody wants that. Nobody wants that. Maybe some people would prefer that over President Trump, but nobody wants that."

Rogan also criticized Newsom for his perceived hypocrisy regarding COVID restrictions in California. He stated, "Nobody wants President Newsom either. Nobody believes in that guy. That guy's a f---ing conman. Everything he did in California, from trying to mandate vaccines for kids when it was totally unnecessary, to being caught out in public without a mask and lying about the fact that he was outdoors."

According to Douglas Schoen, an adviser to President Bill Clinton and a pollster for Michael Bloomberg's presidential campaign, Newsom's recent travels with President Joe Biden to different parts of the country are seen as a thinly veiled excuse to set up a run for president in 2024. Schoen argued in an op-ed for the Orange County Register that Newsom is trying to establish his political credibility and build a national support base for himself.

Rogan, known for his candid commentary, defended former President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential candidate RFK Jr. for their authenticity. He stated, "Whether you like Trump or not, whether you think he's corrupt or not, that's a human being, you know what that guy is. Same thing with RFK Jr. Whether you believe that he's correct about vaccines or whether you believe his policies would be effective, you know that's a human being."

Rogan further criticized Newsom, describing him as a political "construct" and a "cardboard cutout of a person." He emphasized that people do not want such a manufactured figure in a position of power.
