Back in 2022, Karine Jean-Pierre declined to explain why Joe Biden did not impose sanctions on Russian billionaire Elena Baturina, the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow.

Furthermore, Jean-Pierre did not address whether Biden had met with Baturina at a Georgetown restaurant in 2015 during his tenure as Vice President.

On Monday, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden's close friend and business associate, testified that Joe Biden had indeed met with Russia's Yelena Baturina, who later invested $40 million into Hunter Biden's real estate ventures. Additionally, Baturina paid Hunter Biden $3.5 million in consulting fees.

The Daily Mail had previously reported on this relationship in October 2022, stating that Hunter Biden's real estate company had received a $40 million investment from the Russian oligarch. The Senate had already flagged the connection between the president's son and Baturina as concerning, particularly after she wired $3.5 million to a company linked to Hunter.

Baturina's brother, Viktor Baturin, informed DailyMail.com that the money was intended as a payment to enter the American market. However, it has now been revealed that Hunter's financial ties with Baturina were even more extensive, with her firm investing $40 million in a real estate venture by Hunter's company, Rosemont Realty.

In 2012, Hunter's firm had planned to invest $69.7 million in 2.15 million square feet of office space across seven US cities. The plan indicated that the funds came from various investors, including $40 million from Inteco Management AG, a Swiss company owned by Baturina.

According to Forbes, the Inteco group, a plastics and construction conglomerate, had made Baturina the wealthiest woman in Russia at the time, with a current net worth of $1.4 billion. Despite these revelations, Biden has not explained why Baturina was excluded from the Russian sanctions list.

The House Judiciary Committee recently released the transcript of their interview with Devon Archer, in which he discussed a dinner in Washington DC that involved Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and Yelena Baturina. The dinner also included Kazakhstani businessman Kenes Rakishev, who had wired $142,300 for Hunter Biden's luxury car business, as well as former Kazakhstani Prime Minister Karim Massimov.

Rakishev had provided $142,300 in funding to Hunter Biden for the purchase of a Fisker Karma automobile in 2014. These revelations raise further questions about the extent of Hunter Biden's financial dealings and his connections to influential individuals.
