Gilgo Beach Murder Suspect's Disturbing Google Searches Expose Shocking Obsession

According to law enforcement officials, Rex Heuermann, the suspect in the Gilgo Beach murders, has been found to have made thousands of explicit Google searches for child pornography and other disturbing media.

Heuermann is currently facing six counts of murder, including one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder for each of the three victims: Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello. Despite the evidence against him, Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

In a recent bail application, officials revealed that Heuermann's Google search history contained numerous explicit searches, including terms such as "mistress long island" and "mature escorts Manhattan." Disturbingly, many of these searches were related to child pornography.

The search history was obtained through a warrant on a "junk" and "burner" email account, which was discovered after Google provided records associated with burner phones linked to Heuermann.

The bail application also revealed that between March 2022 and June 2023, Heuermann made over 200 Google searches related to the disappearances and murders of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Barthelemy, Waterman, and Costello.

Some of these searches included inquiries such as "why could law enforcement not trace the calls made by the Long Island serial killer," "why hasn't the Long Island serial killer been caught," and "In Long Island serial killer investigation, new phone technology may be key to break in case." Heuermann also searched for documentaries, podcasts, and articles related to the investigation.

The explicit nature of Heuermann's Google searches and his apparent interest in the investigation surrounding the Long Island serial killer raise serious concerns about his involvement in these heinous crimes.
